The costumes by Christian Lacroix are sumptuous, the sets are magnificent, the dancing is top quality, and the video recording is excellent. Just fast forward through the long and puzzling crowd scene in front of the Palais Garnier at the beginning to get to the ballet itself. This is ballet at its best.

I felt like a kid at Christmas. Beautiful production - a Persian carpet come to life. I'm no expert of ballet, but this is superb!
