DVD 6893 BLUEBEARD'S CASTLE (Bartok)

This DVD provides a rare opportunity to see one of the final works of the great director, Michael Powell, who created The Red Shoes and Tales of Hoffmann, among many amazing works. While the voice/image syncrhonization is far from perfect, in every other way this film is a gem of operatic film making, with amazing sets and special effects. Since this film has never been released in the US (to my knowledge), this DVD is about the only access we have to it. Thanks!!!
