to put it mildly. I found it difficult to get past the hideous costumes and bizarre extras, but otherwise, this was a traditional Cenerentola. The extras were identically dressed wind-up toy versions of Dandini and Cenerentola, about 5-6 each, that danced through the opera. This added some action during the poker faced ensemble singing and static set. The singing was professional; no complaints about the disc or subtitles. I took off the stars for the costume designer who ought to be banned from opera.
