YUJA WANG IN CONCERT. 10.7.25 Carnegie Hall. pbs.org Carnegie Hall's 135th music season was grandly opened with an exciting classical repertoire concert, which was filmed in collaboration with Rolex. The concert was presented by the National Youth Orchestra All-Star Team (an orchestra composed of outstanding young professional alumni of Carnegie Hall), conductor Daniel Harding and Rolex brand spokesperson Wang Yujia. The core repertoire of the concert is Tchaikovsky's passionate first piano concerto, which was played and pointed by the superstar pianist himself. The concert was opened and concluded with two classics of the 20th century: Leonard Bernstein's "West Side Story" symphony and Igor Stravinsky's kaleidoscope-like "Firebird" ballet sut. All in all, this is a concert that cannot be missed in the world's top music hall. Track List: Leonard Bernstein: Symphony Dances from West Side Story (Selection) Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor, Op. 23) Igor Stravinsky: Suite from L'oiseau de feu (1919) (19) Musician: Piano: Wang Yujia (Yuj a Wang) National Youth Orchestra All-Stars (NYO-USA All-Stars) Conductor: Daniel Harding
