New York 6.8.2025
Broadway's biggest night of the year, the 78th Annual Tony Awards, was broadcast June 8 live on CBS from Radio City Music Hall
Tony, Grammy, and Emmy winner Cynthia Erivo hosted the 2025 Tony Awards, which featured performances from all of this year's Best Musical (Buena Vista Social Club, Dead Outlaw, Death Becomes Her, Maybe Happy Ending, and Operation Mincemeat) and Best Revival of a Musical (Floyd Collins, Gypsy, Pirates! The Penzance Musical, Sunset Boulevard) nominees. There were some bonuses this year, too, with performances from Just in Time and Real Women Have Curves, plus a special appearance from 2019 Tony Honor recipient Broadway Inspirational Voices (during the opening number) and a reunion of the original Broadway cast of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton.
And, as previously announced, the Tony telecast will feature a special reunion performance from the original Broadway cast of Hamilton, in celebration of the Tony-winning musical's 10th anniversary. Original company members scheduled to participate include Carleigh Bettiol, Andrew Chappelle, Ariana DeBose, Alysha Deslorieux, Daveed Diggs, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff, Sydney James Harcourt, Neil Haskell, Sasha Hutchings, Christopher Jackson, Thayne Jasperson, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Stephanie Klemons, Morgan Marcell, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Javier Muñoz, Leslie Odom, Jr., Okieriete Onaodowan, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Jon Rua, Austin Smith, Phillipa Soo, Seth Stewart, Betsy Struxness, Ephraim Sykes, and Voltaire Wade-Greene.
